Join the Restoration Decade Alliance!

We’re thrilled to announce that we have opened applications for Members, Partners, and Champions!

If you are an organisation – whether on the national, state, regional, district, or local scale – passionate about ecosystem restoration, this call-out is for you.

Being a Member, Partner, or Champion of the Restoration Decade Alliance (RDA) will provide your organisation with opportunities for collaboration with and promotion by Australia’s most outstanding environmental organisations. You’ll be able to use the RDA logo in your projects, exchange restoration stories, best-practice knowledge, and contacts, and join a strong united voice to positively influence state and national policies.

Member organisations are larger restoration groups (non-profit or for-profit) whose core activity is the promotion and/or practice of ecological restoration.

As Membership of the RDA requires Actor status with the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration, Membership is by invitation only based on an Expression of Interest.

If you wish for your organisation to become a Member of the RDA, please email your Expression of Interest to facilitator@restorationdecadealliance.org

Partner organisations are organisations whose core activity is not ecological restoration but which is sympathetic with, informs, or supports ecological restoration. Partners enhance the RDA’s reach and ensure the RDA is well-informed about relevant opportunities and constraints. Partners are not primarily focused on restoration but can include ecological societies, conservation networks, farmer groups, and ancillary support organisations.

RDA Partnership Application Form

Champions are small, on-ground restoration groups working at the local site level. Champions have no obligations to the RDA, but have the options to engage in the broader conversation around the UN Decade, connect and collaborate with the RDA, and use the RDA logo in their own promotion. Champions are encouraged to participate in reciprocal sharing of restoration stories to highlight actions undertaken in the UN Decade.

The Restoration Decade Alliance and all member organisations operate across the unceded lands and waters of numerous Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander nations. We recognise the inherent value and invaluable knowledge of these peoples and their Ancestors and Elders – past and present – and their enduring connections to Country. These are the oldest continuous cultures in the world, having persisted despite violent invasion and ongoing colonisation. We aspire to adequately honour and support decolonisation through genuine Indigenous and non-Indigenous partnership, Indigenous empowerment and agency, the promotion of traditional ecological knowledge, and advocacy for improved relationships between nature and culture as a cornerstone of ecological restoration. 
Ecosystem restoration and social justice go hand-in-hand.
