Watch this video to learn about a brilliant online Atlas of Living Australia database for registering restoration projects in the NSW northern rivers region. (Over 4000 restoration sites are already registered!)

How good would it be if Australia could expand this to all regions – allowing us to identify what restoration actions are working where and allowing us to estimate what work is being done across the continent and by whom!

The Restoration Decade Alliance and all member organisations operate across the unceded lands and waters of numerous Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander nations. We recognise the inherent value and invaluable knowledge of these peoples and their Ancestors and Elders – past and present – and their enduring connections to Country. These are the oldest continuous cultures in the world, having persisted despite violent invasion and ongoing colonisation. We aspire to adequately honour and support decolonisation through genuine Indigenous and non-Indigenous partnership, Indigenous empowerment and agency, the promotion of traditional ecological knowledge, and advocacy for improved relationships between nature and culture as a cornerstone of ecological restoration.

Ecosystem restoration and social justice go hand-in-hand.
